New Car Wash Company Lands in Regina

If there is one thing people in Saskatchewan like, its a good car wash.

From winter roads with salt and sand, to the gritty, dusty dirt of summer, there are a lot of dirty cars., and a  new business in the city is looking to capitalize.

Mint Smart Wash is a different kind of car wash, offering monthly memberships, and individual washes at their new massive facility on Victoria Avenue.

Although its been open for a few days, its official grand opening is tomorrow (Saturday August 20th).

The President and CEO Chris Freisen is a former oil patch worker, and chemical engineer.  He decided to try a new business, and its so far so good.  The Regina operation, which is locally owned and operated, is the chain’s 8th location.

Its unique in a number of ways.  First volume.  They can put three car a minute out of the facility, 80 percent of the water is recycled, and any chemicals used are safe for the environment.

Second, its only a car wash…there are no gas pumps or food store. Prices range from $11.70 for the basic wash to 22.50 for the top end cleaning.  Memberships are also available for a monthly fee, similar to a gym membership, with an unlimited number of washes and a dedicated “VIP” lane.

During the grand opening on Saturday, the car wash will give you a monthly membership, for a five dollar donation to CityKidz, which helps children in the city.
