A provincial byelection for Saskatoon-Meewasin has been called for September 26th.

The seat has been open since the end of June when former opposition NDP leader Ryan Meili resigned.

The Saskatchewan Party chose Kim Groff as their candidate earlier this summer, and the New Democrats have chosen Nathaniel Teed.

Others that have announced their candidacy include provincial Liberal leader Jeff Walters, and former PPC federal candidate Mark Friesen for the Buffalo Party.
