Lt. Gov Russ Mirasty is handing out some unique hardware today in Regina.
The first 70 recipients of the first Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee medal. The medal commemorates the 70 years Elizabeth has been on the throne.
“Today’s ceremony is the first of many that will allow us to recognize the people of this great province,” Premier Scott Moe said in a media release.
A total of 7,000 medals will be awarded throughout the Platinum jubilee year.
