As the kids don their new duds, grab their backpacks and head back to school, summer weather doesn’t appear to be over.
Regina is one of many areas in Southern Saskatchewan under a heat warning today. Temperatures will be around 32 degrees for a high, and will only get down to 16 degrees for the next couple of days and nights.
The average temperature for this point of the year is highs around 23, lows around 8, so we are well above that. Its going to stay warm this weekend, to start next week.
The areas under the heat warning include Regina, Fort Qu’Appelle, Indian Head, Estevan, Weyburn, Assiniboia , Coronach, Maple Creek, Gravelbourg, Swift Current and Moose Jaw.
In this kind of heat, try and reduce outdoor activity, drink lots of water, and don’t leave pets and kids in car.
