RPS asking for help in investigation involving a firearm

The Regina Police Service is asking the public for their assistance in an investigation involving a firearm discharge that occurred early this morning.

At 4:05 a.m., police were dispatched to east Regina for a report of a firearms offense.

When police arrived, they learned that two people were driving down Sandhills Crescent when they witnessed three males going through vehicles.

Once the witnesses drove away from the area, two different vehicles followed them onto Chuka Drive and then headed westbound onto Sage Drive.

While on Sage Drive, the witnesses heard what sounded like gunshots and they felt their front tire go flat.

The two vehicles following them then took off southbound on Chuka Drive.

Police are requesting that residents in the area with video surveillance check it for overnight activity and anything that could assist in this investigation.
