Advance voting begins in the Saskatoon Meewasin byelection.
The seat was left vacant when former NDP leader Ryan Meili resigned during the summer. Five candidates are campaigning to replace him.
For the first time in a provincial electoral event, advance voting workers will use laptops instead of paper materials to do their work.
There are 12,292 registered voters in Saskatoon Meewasin.
The day of the by-election is next Monday, with vote by mail counts coming September 28th and the final official count will be released October 8th.
