Former Rider Spencer Moore announces retirement

A member of the 2013 Grey Cup Champion Saskatchewan Roughriders has announced his retirement.

Spencer Moore officially called it a career on Thursday.

The fullback spent eight seasons in the CFL with the Riders and the Montreal Alouettes.

The native of Hamilton made the announcement on Instagram where he also stated that he would be serving community as a member of the Hamilton Fire Department.

Moore was won a Vanier Cup in 2011 with McMaster. The Riders selected Moore in the fifth round of the 2013 CFL Draft.
