Premier Scott Moe Leads List of Popular Premiers

According to a new survey from Angus Reid, Premier Scott Moe has seen a boost in his popularity, largely due to the announcement the government will give out 500 bucks to everyone who filed a tax return in Saskatchewan.

Scott Moe’s approval rating jumped 6 points to 57 percent, the highest approval of any premier in the country.

Tim Houston, the premier of Nova Scotia is next at 53 percent, after dropping from 62 percent in the last survey.

Out-going BC Premier John Horgan is third on the list at 51 percent.  The longest serving premier on the list, Horgan has rarely been below 50 percent in these surveys.

At the bottom of the list is the Premier of Manitoba, Heather Stefanson, who came in at 22 percent, a drop of one percent from the last survey.

Alberta’s Jason Kenney, who is stepping down, dropped two more points to 30 percent.  His party, the United Conservatives, will announce a new leader on October 9th.
