SaskWheat latest outlook advises farmers to sell only enough wheat for cash flow this fall

The latest SaskWheat outlook advises farmers to hold onto their wheat supplies for now.

Market analyst Marlene Boersch of Mercantile Consulting says Russia is pricing its wheat at a huge discount to North American wheat.

She says prairie farmers should sell only what they need for cash flow this fall and store the rest for later sales.

Boersch says there is strong demand at Canadian elevators for wheat and is concerned about rail car supply later this year.

Boersch says markets will be weaker from harvest pressure but there are some strong fundamentals for demand in the coming year.

There are uncertainties surrounding the effects of inflation, potential recession and rising interest rates on market demand.
