Pelletier & Stusek connection lead Rams to win over UBC

The University of Regina Rams improved their record to 3-1 after they picked up a 21-13 win over the UBC Thunderbirds in Vancouver on Friday night.

Noah Pelletier and Bennett Stusek were able to connect for a pair of touchdowns in the win for the Rams. Pelletier ended the night with 176 yards passing for the U of R while Stusek had four receptions and 77 yards.

Olivier Savard led the way for the Rams on the ground as he picked up 103 yards rushing along with a touchdown.

UBC QB Garrett Rooker had 363 yards passing with a touchdown in the loss for the Thunderbirds.

Anthony Bennett was able to record his fifth sack of the year to lead the green and gold defence.

With the victory, the Rams are now alone for second spot in the Canada West standings.

Next action for the University of Regina Rams is next Saturday when they host the University of Alberta Golden Bears (2-2). The Golden Bears were defeated by the University of Saskatchewan Huskies on Friday night by a score 38-16.
