Adama Canada opens production of 2,4-D at North American plant in Georgia

Winnipeg-based Adama Canada has responded to crop protection product shortages by starting production of 2,4-D at its plant in Georgia, in the U.S.

By moving 2,4-D production to North America for the first time, Adama says it will ensure the product is available this fall for farmers who need it.

2,4-D is a weed control chemical in cereal crops and pastures.

Adama is the seventh largest crop protection company in the world with sales in 100 countries, with the largest portfolio with over 170 active ingredients.
