COVID-19 levels remain ‘moderately high’ in Regina’s wastewater

Autumn might have just arrived, but the high levels of COVID-19 will continue into the new season.

According to the University of Regina’s latest analyst, COVID-19 viral loads decreased in the City’s wastewater; however, weekly averages over the last month have remained ‘moderately high.’

Despite the high rate, it is at only 56 per cent of the highest levels recorded in April 2022.

In April, Saskatchewan saw over 3,500 confirmed cases and 70 deaths due to COVID-19.
