The Canadian Cattle Association is looking for improved beef trade with Western Europe.
General manager Ryder Lee says the Canada-European Union trade agreement is five years old but Canada is not getting fair treatment.
He says Europe has sent 11 times more beef to Canada as Canada shipped to the European Union.
Lee says the trade deal gives Canada access of 65 thousand tons of beef to Europe but in 2021 only exported 15 hundred tons.
He wants to see an end to trade protectionism in Western Europe.
He says Europe is using non-tariff trade barriers to restrict Canadian exports of beef to the European Union.
