Governor General Mary Simon will be in Regina today to speak at a Truth and Reconciliation event.
Miyo-wiciwitowin Day aims to bring together high school students, business leaders and members of the public at Mosaic Stadium.
The name draws on a Cree phrase that means “walking together in a good way,” or reconciliation.
The event is meant to educate people ahead of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation tomorrow.
There is a full line up of speakers set for the event, as well as entertainment.
As many as 15 thousand people or more are expected to attend, including a strong contingent of students from local schools.
The doors open at 9am, with the event getting underway at 930.
