With a depleted backfield due injuries to Jamal Morrow, Frankie Hickson and Shaun Wilson, the Saskatchewan Roughriders are turning to a familiar face to add some depth at running back.
On Friday, the team announced they have resigned Shaq Cooper.

The 29 year old is no stranger to Saskatchewan. The running back was signed by the Riders during the offseason and attended training camp earlier this year but was released when Morrow and Hickson emerged on top of the Riders depth chart.
Cooper rejoined the Riders in July and saw action in their loss to BC at Mosaic Stadium on July 29, he was later released.
