Pats continues Alberta road trip in Red Deer

The Regina Pats will be looking to extend their winning streak tonight in Red Deer as they meet the Rebels in the second game of their three game road trip.

Regina began the trip with a 4-3 overtime win in Edmonton on Thursday night to pick up their second straight win after dropping the opening game of the season to Moose Jaw.

Connor Bedard also made an impact on the scoresheet after the being shutout on against the Warriors last Friday, the 17 year old has since responded to collect seven points in the last two games, which ties him for the league lead. The five goals scored by the Pats captain is currently second in the WHL.

Tanner Howe is coming off a career night in Edmonton where he scored two goals and added a pair of assists.

In between the pipes, Drew Sim has picked up victories for the Pats in both of his starts so far this season.

Red Deer is 2-0 to start the season as they opened up the new season with a pair of wins against the Oil Kings. Last season, the Rebels swept the season series against Regina, taking all four games.
