Phase Two of Arcola Sewer Renewal begins; Residents to expect traffic restrictions

Phase two of the major sewer renewal project along Acrola Avenue begins on Tuesday.

During this phase, the city warns motorists of increased traffic restrictions that will progress westward down Arcola Avenue.

These traffic measures are being implemented for crews to reline an existing sewer pipe that serves 30,000 households in southeast Regina.

Phase two will include several intermittent lanes, turning restrictions, and ramp crossings along Arcola Avenue between Doan Drive/Edinburgh Drive and the Ring Road Interchange. Signage will be in place to notify drivers of restrictions.

Drivers should expect delays throughout October and are encouraged to plan with the City asking drivers to check out the Report Report and the Arcola Avenue Sewer Renewal project page for more information about traffic restrictions.

The project is expected to be complete by the end of October, pending weather or unforeseen circumstances.
