The Regina Pats made a veteran addition to their blueline on Tuesday as they acquired 2002-born defenceman Tanner Brown from the Red Deer Rebels. In return, the Rebels will receive a 2023 fifth-round pick and a 2024 fourth-round pick from the Pats.
In five games this season with Red Deer, the 19 year old has six assists with a +6. Last season the Kelowna product split time with the Winnipeg ICE and the Vancouver Giants, he collected 26 points (7G-19A) in 67 games.
The 2017 second-round pick of the Vancouver Giants has played in 165 games over the span of six WHL seasons.
