The Pats have split the first two games of the homestand, opening with a loss to the Winnipeg ICE on Friday but followed up on Saturday with a victory over Swift Current, leaving the Pats at an even .500. this year at 4-4.

Connor Bedard has jumped out to an expected strong start, the Pats captain leads the WHL with points (15) and is tied with the league leaders in goals (7).

Regina has been very busy in the trade market in the early portion of the season, after acquiring local product Sam Oremba from Seattle, the Pats acquired defenceman Tanner Brown from Red Deer in exchange for a pair of picks on Tuesday.

With the Pats currently carrying three goaltenders, the team has divided the starts fairly evenly so far with Matthew Kieper and Drew Sim each getting three starts to begin the season. Newcomer Koen MacInnes has received two starts this year.
