Pats and Warriors renew rivalry in Moose Jaw

For the second time this season, Highway #1 rivals, the Regina Pats and Moose Jaw Warriors will square off in a home and home set beginning tonight in Moose Jaw.

In their last action, the Pats were defeated by the Lethbridge Hurricanes in a 4-3 shootout loss at the Brandt Centre last Sunday. A game where the Pats rallied from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game in the final before sending it into a shootout.

Back on the opening weekend of the season when the Pats and Warriors met, each team picked up a victory in the two game affair, with the road team emerging victorious in each contest.

For the Warriors, they defeated the Hurricanes in their last game on Saturday on home ice. The win snapped a two game losing streak for Moose Jaw.

Regina has a three point edge on the Warriors in the standings early in the season but Moose Jaw does hold a two game edge.

Pats captain Connor Bedard will enter tonight’s game looking to extend his point streak. On Sunday he extended it to ten games with an assist.

The two teams will square off at the Brandt Centre on Sunday afternoon.

620 CKRM will have coverage of tonight’s game beginning with the pregame show at 6:35, the opening faceoff is 7:00.
