The City of Regina will be switching to bi-weekly garbage collection next week.

Residents will be rolling out their brown and green carts every other week starting October 31, with weekly collection resuming on April 3.

The City said that residents should remember that garbage and food and yard waste pilot collection days remain the same, the recycling collection schedule remains unchanged, and weekly garbage collection will return over the holiday season from December 19 to December 30.

The City adds that residents can receive free reminders that tell them when garbage, recycling and food and yard waste will be collected.
