Police Investigating Two Robberies with Weapons

Police are investigating a pair of armed robberies, one successful, the other not so much.

Early yesterday morning police say they were called out to the 4000 Block of Retallack Street, just south of Parliament for a report of a robbery with a gun.

According to Regina Police just before 3 am, two people sitting in their vehicle were approached by two others, and one of them appeared to have had a rifle. The victims got out of the car and took off, leaving the thieves a purse and some credit cards behind. No one was hurt in the incident.

Just over half an hour later police were called to the 2800 block of Lakeview Avenue near Rae Street. Two women sitting in their car were approached by one person who appeared to have a rifle. The driver of the car drove off, and again no one was hurt.

The RPS is asking for the public’s help as they continue to try and find more information on these incidents.

Police are requesting that residents in the area with video surveillance check for any overnight activity that could assist in the investigation.

If you have any information about these cases, you are asked to call Regina Police or Crime Stoppers.
