Thunder dominate PFC year end awards

 

With a with a 8-0 record and a first place finish in the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) standings, the Regina Thunder were recognized by the PFC with six different year end awards.

Scott MacAulay won his second straight PFC Coach of the Year as he guided the Thunder to a second straight first place finish in the regular season standings.

Also for the second consecutive year, Carter Shewchuk claimed the Outstanding Quarterback award. Shewchuk had 2,351 yards passing, with 18 touchdowns, and a 104.3 passer efficiency rating.

Kicker Erik Maximuik became a two time winner of the Outstanding Special Teams Player award.

Connor Klassen claimed the Outstanding Lineman award.

The Outstanding Receiver award went to Isaac Foord, he ended the year with 40 receptions and 638 yards receiving.

Reece McCormick was named the Outstanding Defensive Lineman award. He had 16 tackles, 4 assisted tackles and three sacks.

The Regina Thunder will host the Saskatoon Hilltops in the PFC Final on Sunday, with a 1:00 kickoff at Mosaic Stadium.
