Regina Red Sox name 2023 coaching staff

 

Even though the winter has started to settled in the Queen city, the Regina Red Sox have continued their preparations for the upcoming 2023 season as they named their coaching staff.

Regina native, Ben Komonosky will take over as manager for the Red Sox. He is currently an assistant coach at Indiana State University.

This past summer, Komonosky was the manager for the Michigan Monarchs of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. He led his squad to a North Division pennant and was named Manager of the Year.

During his playing days, he was with the Red Sox in 2019 after spending time with Swift Current in 2018.

Mitch MacDonald will return to the team after an one year hiatus and will be an assistant coach.

Ruddy Estrella will be back as the team’s pitching coach.

Cole Warken will join as an assistant coach.

Rye Pothakos is the Director of Recruiting and Baseball Operations for the eighth season.

Back with the team for a second stint as Trainer & Equipment Manager will be Darien Engelhardt.
