It will be a sea of blue in the heartland of green as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will face the Toronto Argonauts at Mosaic Stadium in the 109th Grey Cup.
Winnipeg advanced to the Grey Cup with a 28-20 victory over the BC Lions in the Western Final. Brady Oliveira had 130 yards rushing and 37 yards receiving to lead the way for the blue and gold.
The Toronto Argonauts were the first team to advance to Grey Cup on Sunday after they defeated the Montreal Alouettes in the Eastern Final 34-27.
McLeod Bethel-Thompson had 299 yards passing with a pair of touchdowns. On the receiving front, DaVaris Daniels hauled in three receptions for 108 yards with touchdown while Kurleigh Gittens Jr. picked up nine catches for 97 yards and also a had a touchdown reception.
In their only matchup this season, the Blue Bombers narrowly defeated the Argonauts 23-22 on July 4.
It has been awhile since these two teams have met in the Grey Cup, the last matchup featuring the Blue Bombers and Argonauts was back in 1950 in a game dubbed the Mud Bowl that was played at Varsity Stadium in Winnipeg.
