Downtown Moose Jaw Association helps city purchase new holiday lights

The downtown Moose Jaw Association has raised $25,000 for the city for the purchase of decorative lights for the holiday season.
The city’s budget allocation will have $25,000 added to it for the replacement of the city’s current lights.
“The first installment of new winter lights were turned on by the City earlier this year and they have rejuvenated the look of our downtown,” said Geoff Anderson, Chair of the DMJA Board in a media release. “We’ve had a successful fundraising year and this contribution is in line with our mandate to enhance and beautify Canada’s Most Notoriously Charming Downtown. We thank the City for their commitment to downtown beautification and this funding will expedite the replacement of the old decorations.”
The new decor will be installed for the 2023-24 winter season.
