On American Thanksgiving, the Saskatchewan Roughriders added a lot of American beef with the signing of (6’6-330 lb) offensive lineman, Jeremiah Poutasi.
Poutasi was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft with the 66th overall selection. He started seven games with the Titans the following season.
He would move on to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016 and started one game.
The 28 year old would go on to spend time with the Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos. He would spent the 2021 season on the Las Vegas Raiders practice roster.
Collegiately, the offensive lineman spent three seasons with the Utah Utes.
In 2014, Poutasi played 846 snaps at left tackle and only allowed three sacks, earning Second-Team All-Pac 12 Honours.
