University of Regina Rams linebacker Ryder Varga will have a chance to earn a spot on a CFL roster in 2023. Varga signed with the BC Lions on Tuesday.

The linebacker was selected by the Lions, 29th overall in the 2022 CFL Draft.
In 2022, in nine games with the Rams, Varga had 54 combined tackles , two sacks and an interception. He was named the Canada West Most Outstanding Defensive Player this season.
