Pats looking to make it four in a row in Kamloops

Following a thrilling overtime win against the Kelowna Rockets last night, the Regina Pats will try and extend their winning streak in B.C. tonight as they meet the Kamloops Blazers.

Connor Bedard was able to extend his point streak to 24 games last night in dramatic fashion as he assisted on Alexander Suzdalev’s overtime winning goal.

It was big night for Suzdalev last night with a pair of goals and a pair of assists. Stanislav Svozil has matched a career night with four points. Pats forward Borya Valis enjoyed a successful night as well with a three point outing. The Pats took advantage on the special teams going 3/7 on the extra man advantage.

The recent winning streak for Regina has created a little bit of margin between themselves and a pack of teams for the seventh position in the Eastern Conference, the Pats now find themselves two points back of Calgary for sixth and three points back of Lethbridge for fifth spot.

Kamloops and Prince George will provide a tough test for the Pats in the final two games of the road trip. Both teams are on top of the B.C. Division with 26 points, but the Blazers have played in only 20 games this season, as they hold a 11-5-3-1 record.

The Blazers were in action on Friday when they were defeated by the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Blazers are expected to be among the contenders during the WHL playoffs as they will be hosting 2023 Memorial Cup in May of next year.
