Moose Jaw’s first-ever town bell will now be ringing throughout the city after it was restored and unveiled on Thursday.
The 121-year-old bell is located on a derrick on the east side of the Moose Jaw Events Centre, close to its original location.
The bell is made of cast alloy steel and weighs about 1,500 pounds.
Moose Jaw’s Heritage Advisory Committee is hoping that the city will ring the bell during special city events.
