The Saskatchewan RCMP has released a report that a serious collision involving a train and a vehicle occurred this morning.

The collision happened approximately 1.6 km west of Elstow on Highway 16.

Highway 16 was closed for several hours while police investigated, but it has since re-opened.

Police have not released any details on the type of vehicle or vehicles involved in the crash, or if there were any serious injuries.
