Bedard named to Canada’s camp for World Juniors

Regina Pats forward Connor Bedard will be heading to World Junior camp, which starts this week, hoping to win his second gold medal in five months.

Bedard won gold in Edmonton in August with Team Canada, scoring four goals and eight points in seven games, and is anticipated to be the first overall selection at the 2023 Entry Draft.

Bedard is the only player on a Saskatchewan-based team to be invited to the camp, which gets underway  in Moncton, Friday. Seattle defenceman Kevin Korchinski, from Saskatoon, was invited, and the goaltending consultant is Kelly Guard from Prince Albert. Former Moose Jaw Warriors general manager Alan Millar is the director of player personnel.

The tournament is set for December 26th – through till January 5 in Halifax and Moncton.
