Sask invests in safe rural water delivery

The Saskatchewan government is investing over 1.9 million dollars in 10 industry-led research and development projects.

One of the projects is led by Saskatoon-based Delco Water.

The company is working with a number of rural municipalities and First Nations to develop and pilot remote sensing technologies for water treatment facilities in rural Saskatchewan.

The data would help support the safe and reliable delivery of water to rural communities, which is a challenge for many rural areas in Saskatchewan.

The program support comes from the Agtech growth fund and Saskatchewan Advantage Innovation Fund.
