A 30-year-old Regina man faces a large amount of charges after an incident in east Regina last night.
The Regina Police Service were called to the 1700 block of Dewdney Street East just before 10 p.m. Monday for a report of a firearms offence.
A man told police he had seen another man breaking into his vehicle and tried to stop him.
The victim said when he confronted the suspect, he was hit across the face with what appeared to be a firearm and suffered minor injuries. The suspect fled the scene and the victim then called police.
Police found 30-year-old Shawn Parisian, arrested him without incident, and charged him with: Assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000, utter death threats, point firearm while uttering death threats, 2 x carry a concealed weapon, 2 x possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of ammunition, possession of a weapon, 3 x breach of a prohibition order, careless storage of a firearm, breach of undertaking.
He made his first appearance on the charges in provincial court Tuesday morning.
