The Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel is putting the brakes on a proposed rate increase from Sask Energy.
In a decision released today, the panel will allow Sask Energy to leave its increase from August of this year in place. That was a commodity rate increase to 31 percent, and an 8 percent increase in the delivery cost.
The panel is postponing a decision on a request for a five percent increase to the delivery charge in each of the next two years.
The panel wants more information from SaskEnergy, before proceeding with the increase.
