It did not take Jason Maas long to find himself a new job and a promotion in the coaching ranks.
The former Saskatchewan Roughrider offensive coordinator was hired by the Montreal Alouettes to be the team’s head coach on Saturday.

Maas and Alouettes general manager Danny Maciocia spent time together in Edmonton when Maas was a quarterback with the team while Maciocia spent time as an offensive coordinator and head coach for Edmonton.
Earlier this offseason the Roughriders relieved Maas of his duties as offensive coordinator after joining the team in 2020.
Before joining Saskatchewan, Maas was the head coach of Edmonton over four seasons (2016-19).
