Starting next season, Saskatchewan junior female hockey players under the age of 22 will have a new league that they can compete in.

A task team from Hockey Saskatchewan will now begin constructing a process when they are seeking applications from communities that are interested in competing the league’s inaugural season (2023-24). So far, over a dozen communities within the province have expressed interest in the female junior hockey league according to Hockey Saskatchewan.
There is expected to be another announcement about the female junior hockey league coming up in January.
