Regina-based FCC has new president

Regina-based Farm Credit Canada has a new leader.

The federal government has named Justine Hendricks as the next president and CEO of FCC.

Hendricks comes from Export Development Canada, where she is the senior vice president of sustainable business and Enablement.

Hendricks says agriculture is an area of great importance to the Canadian economy and plays a global role in food security.

She says she was attracted to FCC for the opportunity to be part of the future of the Canadian agriculture and food sector.

Hendricks takes on her new role at the end of January.

FCC is Canada’s leading agriculture and food lender, with a loan portfolio of more than 44 billion dollars.
