2022 weather numbers show a colder and drier than normal year for most of Sask

2022 weather stats show a colder than normal and drier than usual year for most of the Saskatchewan grainbelt.

Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Lang says Regina, Estevan and Yorkton had temperatures about one degree colder than usual.

For moisture, Regina precipitation was 29 percent below normal.

She says the eastern grainbelt, notably Estevan, had 9 percent above average rainfall.

Yorkton also had slightly above normal rainfall but most of the province was drier than usual.

December weather stats reflect a colder and drier than normal final month of the year.
