It could be a great atmosphere at Brandt Centre tonight, as the REAL District is opening up the arena for fans to watch the gold medal game at the world junior hockey championship on the big screen.
Tim Reid, president and CEO of REAL says they wanted to show Hockey Canada how much support there is in Regina. The idea is to make this the best Team Canada Party outside of Halifax, where the tournament is being held.
Parking is free, admission is free plus there will be discounted food and beverage. Reid says it will be “five dollar happy hour”, where everything from alcohol to burgers and hot dogs will be five dollars.
There will be prizes, and some members of the Regina Pats will be there with some free tickets to an upcoming Pats game.
Doors open at 5, with the face off set for just after 5:30.
