Fire fighters made short work of an house fire early this morning.

Around 4am, a crew was returning to the fire hall from another call, when they noticed smoke coming from a home in the 3600 block of Dewdney, near Argyle.

There was heavy smoke and fire inside.

No one was hurt, and an investigator is looking into the cause.
