A man from Vanguard Saskatchewan was arrested in Moose Jaw on Friday for child pornography charges.

The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) was alerted on Friday that David Clark of Vanguard was heading to the city with the intent of committing sexual offenses against a child.

The MJPS also had evidence that Clark had distributed child pornography.

The MJPS Patrol, Tactical Response Team, and Criminal Investigation Section conducted surveillance followed by a high-risk traffic stop just outside of Moose Jaw within the city limits and arrested Clark.

When he was arrested, police also found illegal cannabis and illegal cigarettes in his possession.

With the assistance of Ponteix RCMP, Clark has been charged with Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography and has been remanded into custody.

To continue this investigation, the MJPS is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying potential victim(s) of Clark in the Moose Jaw area.
