Regina man accidentally fires weapon, ends up with weapons charge

The accidental discharge of a firearm in an apartment in Regina has led to a 26-year-old man getting charged with discharging a restricted or prohibited firearm in a residence recklessly.
Police received a call from the man, Elmer Wilson, just before 6 p.m., admitting he’d accidentally discharged his weapon.
Regina police then went to the apartment. The projectile didn’t travel out of the apartment and there were no injuries.
Police seized that firearm and three others… all of which were legally owned.
Wilson made his first appearance on the charges today in Regina provincial court.
