SARM welcomes withdrawal of federal gun control amendments

The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities welcomes Ottawa’s decision to withdraw amendments to Canada’s new firearm regulation bill.

SARM had lobbied against the amendments introduced last fall.

President Ray Orb says the federal decision is good news for farmers and hunters.

Orb was upset with federal amendments last fall that would have banned many firearms commonly used by farmers and hunters.
