Mason is a local 3-year-old boy with lissencephaly which causes him to develop slower than other children and currently restricts him from walking or running.
His favourite custom-made electric car, which was donated to him through Variety and Go Kids Go charities, was his only way to run around with other children in the summertime.
That was before it was stolen out of his dad’s garage last Tuesday while they were moving homes.
Darcy Rogalski is Mason’s father and says the family wants nothing more than have this essential toy returned.
Since Rogalski posted about the situation earlier this week, he’s seen an outpouring of local support.
He told 620CKRM that many people have been offering to help pay for a new custom car if the original one is not returned.
He says that he’ll wait until this coming Monday to see if it’s returned, if not then he’ll start up something like a gofundme page to get a new car for Mason.
He also told us that if the electric toy car is found or returned after a new one is purchased, he’ll donate it to the Wascana Rehab Centre for other children with similar disorders.
