An attempted escape through a window lead to injuries and an arrest for a Regina man

A Regina Man was arrested yesterday after jumping out of a window to escape the police.

Around 6 am yesterday morning, police went to the 22-hundred block of Osler Street for a report of a woman in distress.

When they arrived they found a 26-year-old Kane Neapetung who was under conditions to not contact the woman at the address.

Police attempted to arrest him but he resisted.

After breaking free from the police, Neapetung jumped out of a second-story window onto a roof, injuring himself in the process.

After the police negotiated with him to get off the roof, he was arrested and taken to the hospital for his injuries.

Neaptung has been charged with Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest, Breach of Probation, and Breach of Undertaking.

He will make his first court appearance on Tuesday, February 21.
