Plenty at stake tonight between the Pats and Tigers

A pair of crucial points will be on the line tonight at the Brandt Centre when the Regina Pats host the Medicine Hat Tigers.

The two teams along with the Calgary Hitmen are tied for the final three playoff spots with 55 points. Swift Current is two points back of the pace, while Brandon is three points behind.

Regina snapped their two-game losing skid on Monday when they defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-2.

Pats captain Connor Bedard has 105 points this season, his 51 goals leads the league, while his 54 assists are tied for first in the league.

It could be a record setting night for the Pats Tanner Howe. He is currently at 26 goals, which is one off his career high which he set last season.

Head Coach John Paddock is on the verge of some history. He currently has 201 wins, he is now one win away from tying Frank Mario (202) for third on the all-time wins list, while 5 wins away from tying Murray Armstrong (206) for second

Medicine Hat is also coming off a win on Monday as they defeated the Red Deer Rebels. Over their last ten games, the Tigers have collected points in nine of those games with a 6-3-1 record.

Tonight’s contest will mark the third time this season. Medicine Hat has won the first two encounters between the two teams over the last month. After tonight’s game, the Pats will travel to Medicine Hat to wrap up the season series on March 11.
