Another Big Year for TeleMiracle

TeleMiracle wrapped up its 47th broadcast with a total of $5,519,229.00.

Since 1977 TeleMiracle has raised over 158 million dollars, and every cent stays in Saskatchewan.

“TeleMiracle remains rooted in Saskatchewan and the generosity of Saskatchewan people really shined through once again this weekend,” says TeleMiracle 47 Chair Scott Lamb. “These donations are going to help so many people across the province.”

One of the highlights of the show, was a tribute to Bob McGrath, a longtime host and supporter of TeleMiracle and other telethons across Canada and the US.  Best known as “Bob” on Sesame Street, McGrath made over 40 appearances at TeleMiracle starting with the very first one in 1977.  McGrath passed away in December of  2022.

More than 80 different performers from all corners of the province held the stage in Saskatoon during the telethon which started Saturday night, and wrapped up at 5:00 pm Sunday.

Operated by the Kinsmen Foundation of Saskatchewan, all the money raised goes towards specialized medical and mobility equipment, assistance with medical travel, and new and innovative health care equipment.

The Foundation typically receives over 1,000 applications for assistance annually.
