After the opening weekend at the Brier in London, Ontario, Kelly Knapp’s rink from the Highland Curling Club have opened up with a 1-2 record.
On Saturday, Knapp was defeated in his opening contest against former Saskatchewan skip Matt Dunstone 9-3.
Saskatchewan evened their record on Sunday after picking up the win against Nathan Young’s Newfoundland & Labrador team 7-3. But the Knapp rink fell below the .500 mark once again on Sunday night after a 8-4 loss to Alberta’s Kevin Koe.
In Draw #9, Saskatchewan will return to action against Nunavut’s Jake Higgs.
Heading into Monday’s action, there are still three undefeated rinks. Koe and Brendan Bottcher are 3-0. Dunstone’s Manitoba squad is 2-0.
