Pats finish homestand against Oil Kings

 

The Regina Pats will have one more game at the Brandt Centre before they head out on a two-game road trip through Alberta.

On Wednesday, the Pats welcome the Edmonton Oil Kings. Regina is coming off a four-point weekend against the three top teams in the Eastern Conference. The Pats earned victories against the Winnipeg ICE and Red Deer Rebels before falling to the Saskatoon Blades on Sunday.

Connor Bedard will be looking to get back on the scoresheet after a rare off night against the Blades. The 17-year-old currently has 59 goals 64 assists and 123 points.

Heading into Wednesday’s action, the Pats sit in the 6th spot in the East. Four points of Medicine Hat who sit in 7th, while Regina trails Lethbridge by five points with a game in hand.  The Pats will meet the Hurricanes and Tigers later this week, beginning on Friday in Lethbridge.

Tonight will be the fourth and final matchup between the Pats and Oil Kings. So far, Regina has won the first three contests.

Edmonton is last overall in the Western Hockey League with a 8-48-3-0 record this season.
